- The Competition will elicit the most sustainable, creative, functional, and exciting ideas from domestic and international designers to enhance the development goals at Thu Thiem and to provide all of Ho Chi Minh City with a stunning, publicly accessible waterfront.
- The Competition will contribute significantly to the design and implementation of first-phase public infrastructure works at Thu Thiem, currently underway.
- The Competition will result in the selection of an outstanding and visionary proposal for the Central Plaza, Crescent Park, and Pedestrian Bridge for future implementation at Thu Thiem and will reflect a uniquely Vietnamese cultural identity as well as the representing the latest trends in sustainability, public space, landscape architecture, architecture, and engineering.
